IKAVO testing version · last updated 24 October 2026
IKAVO helps you track training, food, steps, weight and wellbeing. Some of this is health information, so we keep it to the minimum the app needs and never sell or share it for advertising.
Who we are
IKAVO is run by Kelvin, based in Birmingham, UK. Contact: ikavoapp@gmail.com.
What we store
- Your email address, to sign you in.
- What you log: workouts, runs and walks, food and drink, steps and calories, body weight, measurements, habits, plans and settings.
- Progress photos, only if you add them. They are kept in private storage that only your account can open.
- Feedback you send from the app, with the app version and device type.
- Waitlist emails from the homepage, used only to invite you to IKAVO. Ask us and we will remove yours.
The app also keeps a copy of your data on your phone so it works without signal.
Why, and on what basis
We use your data only to run the app for you: saving and syncing your logs, and showing your progress and targets. Because body weight, measurements, food and activity can be health information, we ask for your explicit consent when you join. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored with Supabase (database and photo storage) and the app is served by Vercel. AI requests are processed by Anthropic (see below). All three act on our instructions only. Your data is stored in London, UK (Supabase region eu-west-2).
AI features
When you use an AI feature (meal photo, reading a food label, describing a food, eating out, form tips or coaching), the photo or text you give it, plus the targets it needs (such as calories and protein left today), is sent to Anthropic's Claude to be read, and the answer comes straight back to you. Anthropic acts as our processor and doesn't use this to train its models. We don't keep the photo or the AI's answer on our servers, only a daily count of how many AI requests you made, which we use for the daily limit. Nothing is sent unless you tap an AI button.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your logs and photos are deleted straight away. Encrypted backups held by our provider expire within 7 days.
Your rights
- See or take your data: Settings → Export backup gives you everything you have logged.
- Delete it: Settings → Delete my account removes your account, logs and photos.
- Correct it: edit any entry in the app.
- You can also contact us, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
